About EARO
 

 

EARO is an autonomous government body of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia established to accomplish the following objectives:

  • Generate, develop and adapt agricultural technologies that focus on the needs of the over all agricultural development and its beneficiaries.
  • Coordinate research activities of agricultural research centers or higher learning institute and other related establishments which undertake agricultural research on contractual bases.
  • Build up a research capacity and establish a system that will make agricultural research efficient, effective and based on development needs.
  • Popularize agricultural research results.

Structure

 EARO is set up with an organizational structure that is appropriate to accomplish its duties. The structure is made up of the following major organs:
